GOVERNMENT ANXIOUS TO IMPORT ESSENTIALS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 17. Housing construction throughout New Zealand was limited by shortages of material and manpower, said the Minister of Works (the Hon. R. Semple) to-day. There were supply difficulties internally and externally, but it was hoped these would disappear.
