PROFESSIONAL TOURNEY

CREMIN LEADS FIELD SYDNEY, April IG. Eric Cremin with a par 71 led the field at the end of the first round of the Ampol £IOOO Professional Golf Tournament, which started to-day at the Australian course, Kensington. The New Zealand representatives, A. E. Guy and A. Murray, both took 82 for a round. Guy misjudged his approaches and his drives often found the rough in a heavy wind. Murray was the more ) impressive, but failed to gauge the pace of the greens and was astray with some of his approaches. Murray said he and Guy found the sandy course needed different shots from those on the clay courses in New Zealand. Leading scores are: —E. Gremin (N.S.W.) 71, D. Denehy (S.A.) 73 W. Bolger (N.S.W.) 73, F. Bolger (N.S.W.) 74, R. Want (Qsld.) 75, C. Campbell (Vic ) 75, J. Mclnnes (Qsld.) 76, L. Boorer (Vic.) 7G, L. Kelly (N.S.W.) 7G, H. Pickworth (Vic.) 76. ,
