BAKSI'S PLANS

WILL NOT MEET LOUIS (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, April IG. Joe Baksi will not meet Joe Louis this year. It is learned that Baksi, in spite of approaches from Nat Rogers, matchmaker for Mike Jacobs, intends to carry out a European tour, including a visit to the land of his birth, Czechoslovakia, and the possibility of his meeting Louis soon is definitely ruled out. In San Diego to-day Joe Louis announced that unless title fight is arranged for him this summer, he is prepared to announce his retirement from the ring. “A man can go on just so long. If I wait until next year, it may be too late. My mind is made up.”
