MISHAP TO EUROPA
BRITISH COMPANY TO RAISE SHIP PARIS, Dec. 11. Because no French company has the necessary equipment, a British company has hen given the contract to raise the Europa. It is estimated that 30,000 tons of water have to be pumped out before the Europa is refloated. She is standing nearly upright with water breaking over the bridge of the second deck.
