COMMUNISTS AT KIEHSIEN \ (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) PEIPING, Dec. 5. Fifty-thousand Communist troops are reported to have opened a. fierce offensive at Kiehsien, east of Shantung, which is only 30 miles across Tsingtao Bay from the American Fleet headquarters. Communist junks are standing by at Dairen and Port Arthur in readiness to ferry troops across the Gulf of Chihli to join in the fighting near Tsingtao.
