KING EXPRESSES THANKS I ATHENS, Sept. 5. i Archbishop Damaskinos. tendered his resignation to the King, who in replying to the Regent’s telegram, expressed his thanks for the splendid service Archbishop Damaskinos had rendered to the Greek nation during the last two years. “I put my trust in God to guide me in the difficult task lying ahead,” said the King. loz, leaders of the Social Democrats and National Unionists, have announc- , ed that the parties are unreservedly recognising the Monarchy. The Communist, Socialist and Popular Republican parties are not recognising the Monarchy.
