SUNNY AND BRACING FolloAving some rain overnight, weather conditions in Ashburton to-day were sunny and bracing, Avith practically no Avind this morning and early afternoon. The maximum temperature yesterday Avas 62.8 degrees, against 52.1 the previous day, while the screen minimum last night was 40.4 degrees, compared with 26.5 on Wednesday night. The barometer to-day stood at 29.33 inches, compared with 29.57 yesterday morning.

Rain during the past 24 hours amounted to 12 points.
