QUESTION OF MEMBERSHIP. (Rec. 12.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State congress of the Returned Soldiers’ League has decided to ask the Federal executive to hold a referendum on the eligibility for membership of the armed. forces, irrespective of service qualifications. At present membership is confined to servicemen who saw service overseas during the Avar. Delegates at the conference were in favour of extending eligibility to all voluntarily-attested members of _ the armed forces irrespective of service.
