SCHOOLS’ MATCH The Ashburton Technical High School defeated Christchxirch Technical High School by 18 points to 3 in a Rugby match played at Ashburtoix on Wednesday afternooh.

ANNUAL TOURNAMENT On Thursday and Friday of next week representative Primai’y Schools’ Rugby teams from Christchurch, MidCanterbury and South Canterbury will take part in a -series of matches at Christchurch which will he controlled by the Christchurch Primary Schools’ Sports Association. Two gi’ades will be played, senior, Bst and under, and junior, 6st 71b and under. , This will be the ninth consecutive year of the tournament, which (was first played in 1938. Last year the games wei’e played at Timai’u while next year Ashburton will be the venue. Throughout the series South Canteraury has been most successful, winning both gi’ades on sevei’al occasions.
