A motion of sympathy with Mrs D. H. Moore in her recent bereavement was carried in silence at the monthly meeting of the Ashburton branch of the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union yesterday. Mr IT. 0. Kemp, of Ashburton, resigned from the position of chairman of the rivers and drainage committee of the South Canterbury Catchment Board at the meeting held at Timaru earlier this week.
