RETIREMENT ANNOUNCED ,■ i (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 12. The retirement of Group Captain T. M. Wilkes was announced to-day by the Minister of Defence (the Hon, F. Jones), who paid a tribute to the service to aviation in New Zealand given by Group Captain Wilkes during 35 years with the forces. He held the post of Director of Air .Services and Controller of Civil Aviation.
