ST, JAMES THEATRE One of the most fascinating and intriguing stories of espionage and counter espionage ever told on the screen is unfolded in “Secrets of Scotland Yard,” the chief attraction at the St. James Theatre to-night. It deals with the activities in Room, 40, where enemy messages are intercepted and decoded and how an enemy agent was eventually trapped in it. ' C. Aubrey Smith, Lionell Atwill, Henry Stephenson, John Abbott and Walter Kingsford are the leading players. Gloria Jean is the istar of.the associate feature, “Easy to Look At,” a> bright musical romance packed with laughs and songs. Eric Blore creates many laughs as one of the supporting players. Saturday’s Attractions On Saturday afternoon the special matinee feature will be “Young America,” a bright story of youthful escapades,; with Jane Withers and William Tracy in the starring parts. A Popular Science, Unusual Occupations, serial and other suitable supports will be shown. Tlie attraction for Saturday night only will be the hilarious farce, “Up in Mabel’s Room,” one of the funniest plays ever written. It has nine top-line comedy artists in its principal parts.
