SEVERE LOSS

SCOTT AXWORTHY DESTROYED Though the leg injured in an accident last week appeared to be mending well, another complication set in and it was found necessary to destroy the pacer, Scott Axworthy. Owned by Mr and Mrs C. M. Laing, of Tinwakl, Scott Axworthy began racing in the 1942-43 season as a three-year-old. ■ He started in 43 races for eight wins and 18 minor placings.
