COUNTY CENTRES
SUCCESSFUL REUNION HINDS SUB-BRANCH OF R.S.A. The Hinds sub-branch of the R.S.A. held its annual reunion in the Hinds Hall. There -was a large-attendance, including returned servicemen from Mayfield, Alford Forest, Methven, Geraldine and Ashburton. Numerous congratulations were extended to the committee on the outstanding success achieved. The president of the sub-branch, Mr E. Andrews, was in the chair. The following toast list was honoured: “The King,” proposed by the chairman; “Men Gone West,” by Mr Telfer; “First N.Z.E.F.,” by Mr H. Montgomery, responded to by Mr W. Henderson; “Second N.Z.E.F.,” Mr J. Davidson—Mr J. Hays; “N.Z. R.5.A.,” Mr H. C. B. Withell —Mr G. Farrel; “Hinds Sub-Branch,” Mr B. Davidson —Mr M. Davison; “Local Bodies,” Mr W. T. Lowe —Mr S. Taylor; “The Visitors,” Mr M. Davis —Mr B. McKay; “Boer War Veterans,” Mr Bi McKay— Mr W. T. Lowe.
