BIG EFFORT BY AMERICA £ ((Rec. .1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 26. The United States will set a world record for food relief shipments- in the next five weeks, in which the nation is making a final push to fulfil the promise to export 400,000,000 bushels of wheat by June 30, said the Secretary of Agriculture, Mr Clinton .P. Anderson. He pointed out that two-fifths of the world total of exports of food grains for the marketing year 1945-46 will consist of wheat from America, which was approximately one-third of the nation’s wheat crop. Mr Anderson added that in the first three months of 1946 300,000,0001bs of canned milk and 100,000,000 lbs of powdered milk were exported.
