PUBLIC NOTICES. ASHBURTON ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. SPECIAL LOAN NO. 7, £45,000. XTOTICE is hereby given that,at its Meeting on 29tli April, 1946, the Ashburton Electric-Power Board resolved to raise by Special Order, under Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, a loan of Forty-Five Thousand Pounds (£45,000) for a tefm of 20 years with interest not exceeding Three pounds Five shillings (£3/5/-) per centum per annum and Sinking Fund shall be at the rate of not less than Three pounds Twelve shillings and Seven pence (£3/12/7) per centum per annum for the purpose of the further reticulation of the Board’s District. The proposed loan will be secured by a rate of one-fourteenth of a penny in the pound on the Capital value of the rateable property in the District. The Board proposes to confirm the above mentioned resolution at its Meeting to be held in the Offices in Ashburton on Monday, the 27th day of May, 1946, at 11 a.m. Copies of the resolution may be inspected at the Offices of the Board, the Ashburton County Council, Ashburton Borough Council and Tinwald Town Board. Under Section 15 (1) of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, a poll of the ratepayers is required to be taken on the proposal to raise the loan if Five per centum of the ratepayers of the rating area so demand, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Board on or before the 24th day of May, 1946. Taxpayers may pay tax in advance in one sum or by instalments of £1 or multiples thereof at any moneyorder post office or at any branch of the Land and Income Tax Department. 'lnterest is allowable at 1| per cent, per annum for each complete month from the date of payment to the following 6th February. A receipt showing the taxpayer’s full name and address should he obtained for each instalment.
