REPORTED CACHE

CURRENCY AND JEWELS (Rec. 11.25 a.m.) TOKIO, March 27. Seeking a reported cache of currency and jewels worth 5,000,000 dollars,* the Americans have begun to search 336 passengers, including leading Japanese diplomats, from Europe aboard the repatriation ship Tsukushi Maru, says the Uraga correspondent of the Associated Press. Assets valued at several thousand dollars, mostly believed to belong to the Japanese Government, have been discovered. Diplomats aboard the vessel include Yakachiro Surna, former Minister in Spain, and Ken Harada, special Minister to the Vatican.
