VICTORY PARADE
LONDON CELEBRATIONS (Rec. 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 3. Britain will hold victory celebrations on June 8, says ilie “Sunday Dispatch.” The victory parade wall give London the greatest spectacle since July 19, 1919, when victory in the 1914-18 war was celebrated. It is planned that the procession will pass through the bomb-scarred, befiagged streets headed by the Chiefs of all the Allied land, sea and air forces, and the leaders of the resistance movements from countries in liberated Europe. Every phase of Britain’s war effort will be represented. The Royal Air Force will stage u spectacular fly-past at night. historic buildings will be floodlit, and hundreds of searchlights will illuminate the sky. The display is expected to continue for a week.
