Persian Cabinet Resigns: Case Placed Before United Nations

(Ree. 1 p.m.) TEHERAN, Jan. 21. The Persian Cabinet has resigned. The Premier, Dr. Ibraham Hakami, said that having succeeded in laying Persia's case before the United Nations, he was satisfied to retire. , The Speaker in the Persian Parliament announced that the Shah had accepted the resignation. Parliament will hold a secret session to-morrow to consider the creation of a new Government. The Moscow radio announced that municipal elections on the basis of the secret ballot were being held in Azerbaijan to-day. The “Nationalist Government’' for the first time granted Azerbaijan women political rights.
