GENERAL ANDERS ANSWERS ACCUSATION (Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. General Wladyslaw Anders described the Warsaw Polish Government's accusation that he was supplying arms to the Government’s opponents inside Poland as absolutely baseless, says Reuter’s Rome correspondent.
General Anders denied accusations that he was organising an anti-Seme-tic campaign, and added that more than 1000 Jews in his: corps were given complete freedom of religious expression.
A message published on January 2 said that the Polish Prime Minister, M. Edward Osubka-Moravski, alleged that agents of General Wladyslaw Anders (Polish Commander-in-Chief in Italy who refused to return to Poland under the present regime) were fomenting terror throughout Poland. M. Moravski said they were supplying arms by air to the N.S.Z., formerly called the National Armed Forces, which were originally formed to fight the Nazi occupation, and since have fought against the Communists and the Warsaw Government.
