RUMOUR DENIED
RUSSIA AND TURKEY AT WAR
(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. The Soviet News Agency, quoted by Reuters, denied rumours which the French newspaper “Paris Matin" is allegedly spreading that Russia has declared war on Turkey. The Agency described them as “mendacious, dishonest inventions.” The rumours alleged that fighting is taking place at several points on the Russo-Turkish frontier.
