STRIKE SPREADS
SERIOUS FOOD SITUATION (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) ’ LONDON, Jan. 7. A message from Budapest says strike movements which are spreading throughout Hungary as the result of the serious food situation are now affecting Hungary’s 1 three largest machine shops, and the biggest heayy industrial plant, the Manfred Weisz works.
Workers demonstrated against the Communist leaders who appealed to them to return to work.
