CHILD KIDNAPPED

FATHER’S RADIO APPEAL (Rec. 12.30) CHICAGO, Jan. 7, Sezanne Degnan, daughter of a Chicago O.P.A. executive, was kidnapped from Her home early today by a man who left a note demanding a 20,000 dollar ransom, and later telephoned the child’s parents repeating the demand. The kidnapper is believed to have entered the child's bedroom by a ladder about 1.30 a.m. In a radio appeal to the kidnapper, Mr Degnan said: “If you have any sympathy or understanding in your heart, you will return the child. Please let me know what I can do and how I can contact you. I will give you the money. I will do anything to get the child back. If you harm her, God wiil repay you. Please do not harm her.”
