PLANE CRASHES
SEVENTEEN KILLED (Rec. 11.45 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. 21. Seventeen persons were killed when a four-engined plane of the French Fleet Air Arm crashed into the sea after taking off from an airfield near Toulon. Only one escaped.
