WORK APPRECIATED

Sir, —On behalf of servicemen in the Ashburton Public Hospital, I wish to thank the Red Cross and the Returned Services’ Association for the wonderful work they have done. Some of us have been patients for some considerable time and every week they have come round with the now familiar phrase, “and what would you like today?” Also our thanks are due to the sub-branch of the Red Cross for the gifts which reach us*regularly. We wish to extend to all of them the compliments of the season.

D. C. Edmonds.
