REVERSED PLACINGS UPHELD BOLOYNA CASE JUDGMENT (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH. Nov. 27. The original decision of the judicial stewards of the Otago Hunt Club to reverse the judge’s plaeings in the Hunters’ Flat Handicap at the Club’s nieet--ing on September 29, Forage being placed first and Boloyna second, was upheld yesterday by appeal judges of the New Zealand Racing Conference. Messrs C. L., W. D., and W. 11. Orbell, owners of Forage, ail of Tim am, appealed to the conference against the decision of the Dunedin District Committee in upholding the appeal by Mr P. W. Evans, owner of Boloyna, of Wellington, against the decision of the club’s judicial committee reversing the plaeings on the ground that Boloyna, placed first, had caused interference'to Forage, in the concluding stages of the race. The appeal judges were Messrs C. S. Thomas (chairman), H. A. Rhind and D. W. J. Gould, all of Christchurch. Mr R. Twynehani appeared for Mr Evans, and'Mr D. E. Wanklyn for the Orbell brothers. “On the hearing of this appeal we have bad before us the reports of the proceedings before the judicial committee of the Otago Hunt Club and before the Dunedin district committee and have heard further evidence tendered on behalf of both parties concerned and have had the advantage of hearing counsel for both parties,” said the judges in their written judgment. “We find that Boloyna interfered with the chances of Forage, and the appeal of the owners of Forage against the decision of the Dunedin district committee is therefore allowed.”
