PLANS IN BRITISH COLONIES. LONDON, July 20. Far-reaching plans for * developing higher education in British Colonies were published in London to-day. Jamaica has been suggested as a suitable site for a university and the early establishment of a faculty of medicine there was recommended. The plans include the establishment of three centres of higher education in West Africa —one in Algeria, one on the Gold Coast and one in Sierra Leone. It is intended that the new centres of learning maintain close touch with .universities? in other countries.
