TWO MINERS INJURED.
ALLEGED DELAY OF AMBULANCE. MEN HOLD STOP-WORK MEETING. (P.A.) GP.EYMOUTH, This Day. Mr Douglas McPherson, a single miner, and Mr Lionel Page, married, were both injured at Waiuta early this morning by a fall of stone; Both were admitted to the Inangahua Hospital. The employees of the Blackwater mine held a stop-work meeting and decided to cease work as a protest against an alleged delay in arrival of the ambulance at Waiuta. It was stated that the accident occurred at 3 o’clock and the ambulance did not reach Waiuta from Reeftoh, 27 miles distant, until 8.30 a.ta.
