THE STRUGGLE FOR LUICHOW. (Rec. 1.30 p.m.) CHUNGKING, June2B The High Command announced that the Chinese, battling for Liuchow, seized part of the former American airfield south of the city and captured a railway station in tlie western suburbs of the city. Reinforced Japanese troops counterattacked south-east of the city, but were repulsed. The Japanese have withdrawn further north along the Chekiang coastal highway from Wanchow.
