FARMING RACKET.

GOERING’S PROFITS. LONDON, June 14. A farming racket operated on a vast scale by Goering has been uncovered, says a correspondent at Allied Supreme Headquarters. Early in the war, Goering took over farms of Germans drafted into the Army and suppliied them with slave labour. He put Nazi overseers in each group of farms. When the crops were harvested and sold, the proceeds were sent regularly to Goering. Germans were still sending cheques after Berlin had fallen to the Red Army. The situation was disclosed by a German who asked for a travel pass for Austria. Asked for further details he said, “I work for Hermann Goering,” and explained that he wanted to go to inspect “Goering’s” farms.
