THE HOME LEAGUE.

The Salvation Army Women’s Home League continued its weekly activities under the leadership of Mrs P. Frew (secretary), Mrs T. Lane (treasurer), and Mrs Taylor (Thrift Club secretary). Birthdays of v members were celebrated on Wednesday, when Mrs Major Argyle gave a helpful address, her subject being “Birthdays.” A gift for each member so honoured completed the special occasion. Mops made from old wool are to be demonstrated next week. Bandages are to be sent from the Ashburton Home League to help furnish a new hospital in Rhodesia, which will be opened and superintended by Adjutant and Mrs Kingsley Mortimer, New Zealand missionary doctors,
