The Chancellor of the Exechequer (Sir John Anderson) is expected to bring in a special Budget early in the autumn to cut taxes, especially income tax, which may be reduced from 10s in the £ to 7s Gd, says the “Daily Express” political correspondent. Whitehall 1 is examining the whole structure of taxation to ensure: Firstly, all-round cuts being made as soon as' possible. Secondly, the burden being lightened where it presses most.
