SECRET TUNNEL.
IN DANISH PALACE GROUNDS. (Rec. 11.44 a.m.) LONDON, May 28. The existence of a 200-yard tunnel leading from Amalienborg Palace to the Royal stables has just been revealed, says Reuter’s Copenhagen correspondent. The tunnel was dug secretly in four months under the Germans maiming the blockhouses covering the approaches to the Palace, and people living in a nearby hotel. Equipment for the digging was smuggled into the Palace at night, and the work was done by patriots and members of the Royal Guard. A motor-car was kept hidden at the exit in case a Royal flight should be necessary. Shooting affrays continue in Copenhagen, adds the correspondent. Some Danish traitbrs who worked for the Nazis emerge after dark and fire against police and patriots or from ears. They shoot up the houses of prominent persons with tommy-guns.
