Mails for the south close: Daily, 7 a.m. and S p.m.; late fee, Post Office, 9.40 a.m.; Guard’s van, 10.11 a.m. Monday to Friday (inclusive) —8 p.m., letters only Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin and south of Dunedin. Mails for North Island close as opportunity offers. Air Mail Services. Trans-Tasman air mails close on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. and on Saturdays at 12.30 p.m. Air mails within New Zealand close at the Ashburton Post Office: Northbound —Monday to Friday, 3 p.m.; Monday to Friday inclusive, 7 a.m. South-bound—Monday to Saturday inclusive, 7 a.m. Overseas Mails (Outward). Mails for overseas will be closed and forwarded as opportunity offers.
