A PRESENTATION.

Members of the Ashburton Croquet Club entertained Mr and Mrs James Thompson at the club’s lawns on Thursday in recognition of their assistance during the recent tournament. Competitions were played, the winners being: French croquet, Mrs A. Smith; golf croquet, Mrs R. Mclnnes; “lucky cup,’’ Mv§ A. Raven. Afternoon tea was served in the pavilion, when a presentation of pj’rex: dishes was made to the guests by the president (Mrs A. Heenan).
