CHILD POISONED.

SWALLOWS WEED POISON (P.A.) HAMILTON, This Day. A child was fatally poisoned on a farm at Motumaoho near Morrinsville, yesterday. She was Cynthia Ellen MoQuoid, aged six years, daughter of Ml* and Mrs P. S. McQuoid, of Quarry Road, Motumaoho. Her father was milking at the time after being engaged in eradicating ragwort and had a bottle, of tea, and another bottle containing weed poison in a bag. It is assumed that the child drank the poison in mistake for tea. She was rushed to a doctor’s resident in Morrinsville but died shortly after arrival.
