RISE IN GERMANY.
CULTURE AND SOCIAL PROGRESS. MESSAGE BY HITLER'. (Rec. 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 29. According to the Berlin radio, Hitler, replying to a message from the chief of the Labour Front (Dr. Ley) on the occasion of the anniversary of the foundation of the Strength through Joy organisation, said: “I am fully aware what .German war workers have achieved under most strenuous conditions. The rise of Germany in the field of culture and social progress, which has instigated the envy and jealousy of our enemies, was suddenly interrupted by tlie war. After a victorious conclusion of this fateful contest we shall fully conn plete the Socialistic construction of the Reich, because it is only with a truly Socialistic future that the sacrifices in the present struggle are in keeping. All our efforts. are directed toward this single aim.” The British United Press joints out that the anniversary of the Strength through Joy organisation has never previously been made the reason for the exchange of messages.
