(From the “Guardian,” Nov. 30, 1894) Wool Sales—The first of this season’s series of local wool sales was held in Ashburton to-day, the quality offered being about the same as last year, namely some 3700 bales.. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. (From the “Guardian,” Nov. 30, 1919) Elector’s Roll —-Mr W. W. White, Register of Electors, reports that the electoral roll* which closed yesterday will contain a total of 8716 names, 7642 and 1174 oti main and supplementary rolls: respectively. The number on the roll shows a progressive increase, the totals for 1911 and 1914 being 6214 and 7076 respectively.
