A trough of loav pressure is approaching Southland from the west. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru to 5 p.m. to-morroAV is as f olloavs : Northerly to north-westerly winds, becoming fresh or strong. Fair to fine, but some rain developing about the ranges to-morroAV. Temperatures moderate, but rising. Further outlook: Cool south-Avester-lies probable on Saturday, with some showers. i
