QUESTION OF COMMUNISM (X.Z. Press Association— Copyright.) MELBOURNE, July 27. Communism had developed at the Melbourne University beyond the stage where it could be regarded as a joke, declared the State Minister of Education (Mr Holloway). Communism had become a serious factor in Australian life. A dispute over Communism at the University has arisen over a refusal to allow a member of the Communist Party to put a “yes’’ case in the referendum to a meeting of students. More than 300 students have protested against Mr Holloway’s Statements.
