AFRICA STAR CLASP.

OFFICIAL ISSUE TO BE MADE. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 10. The Arabic eight clasp for the Africa Star ribbons Avill be supplied as soon as possible from an official source to all those entitled to it. In announcing this, the Army authorities mention that it has been brought to their notice that certain jaAvellers and engravers propose manufacturing a clasp for sale. The clasp is an emblem which the men Avho served with the Bth Army from the beginning of the battle of El Alamein until the cessation of operations in Tunisia are entitled to Avear on their Africa Star ribbons. . It is pointed out that supplying, or offering to supply such emblems Avithout the authority of the Army Board is an offence, breaches of Avhich Avill make offenders liable, on conviction, to very heavy penalties. In the meantime, those entitled to the clasp should not endeavour to obtain it privately.
