ENEMY SHOT DOWN.

(Rec. 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, May 8. A Messersclimitt 110 was. destroyed in the air and three Junkers 88 were damaged on the ground by four Spitfires of the Canadian Air Force, operating in the Cambrai area to-day. The Messersclimitt met the Spitfires as they came up over a. hill and was shot down by one of them. The Spitfires also shot up an anti-aircraft fire C tower.—British Official Wireless.
