VESUVIUS HIGHER.
RESULT OF RECENT ERUPTION. (Rec. 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 5. Observatory measurements show that Vesuvius added 150 metres to its height as a result of the recent eruption, says the Naples correspondent of “The Times.” The craters have become much wider, measuring 500 metres across instead of SO.
