RESULT OF RECENT ERUPTION. (Rec. 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 5. Observatory measurements show that Vesuvius added 150 metres to its height as a result of the recent eruption, says the Naples correspondent of “The Times.” The craters have become much wider, measuring 500 metres across instead of SO. Seen from Naples, the volcano has a flatter appearance than before.
