DANES ANNOY NAZIS.

LONDON, April 30. The latest bit of Continental wit to annoy the Germans blossomed in Copenhagen. When Field Marshal Rommel toured Danish defences recently, the Germans arranged a triumphal procession for him through the city. The Danes gathered on the pavements and watched the Marshal’s passage with stolid indifference. However, after the procession had passed they continued to stand on the kerbs looking at the street. “What’s the matter?” asked a Gestapo officer. “Rommel is not coming back. Who are you waiting for?” “Montgomery,” said the Danes.
