WOODEN-SOLED SHOES
LONDON, March 27. Britain’s Board of Trade has decided that wooden-soled shoes are not to be made for children. The reason is a good one, and fairly obvious. There is no “give” in a wooden sole, and its use might shape a child’s soft foot in the wrong way. Experts say that after the age of 15, when the human foot has become set, it cannot be harmed by wooden solos. So they will bo made for the overfifteens.
