COURAGE AND DEVOTION TO DUTY. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Mar. 21. _ The Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall) announces that the King has approved the following awards to members of the Royal New Zealand Navy, the citations in most cases referring to courage and devotion to duty:— Distinguished Service Cross. Commander Stephen Wentworth Roskill, R.N. His wife is Mrs E. Roskill, England. Mr Victor Edward Bull, commissioned engineer, R.N. His wife is Mrs Catherine Bull, of England. Distinguished Service Medal. Chief Electrical Artificer William Robert Joseph Jones. His wife is Mrs M. E. Jones, of Auckland. Chief Shipwright. John Weir Stewart (now temporary acting-warrant shipwright, Royal New Zealand Navy). His wife is Mrs E. M. Stewart, of Auckland. Stoker Petty Officer Albert Pickling. His wife is Mrs I'. E. Fiekliug, of Auckland. , Master-at-Arms Thomas Eric Toierton. His wife is Mrs K. L. A. Tolerton, of Auckland. Mentioned in Dispatches. Captain Cecil Aubrey Lawson Mansergh, D.S.C., R.N. His wife is Mrs I-I. R. Mansergh, of Surrey, England. Acting-Commander (E) Brian Ussher Alcock, R.N. His wife is Mrs L. G. Alcock, of Cheltenham, England. Surgeon Lieutenant - Commandei Eric Snow McPhail, Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve. His wife is Mrs I. M. McPhail, of Wellington. Mr Walter Henry Quick, temporary gunner, R.N.Z.N.
