PERSONAL.
Captain C. C. Worry, of the staff of the Ashburton Technical High School, has returned from service overseas.
Pilot-Officer Adrian W. B. Hayman, of Willowby, has been gazetted flying officer, the promotion dating from August, 1943.
Advice has been received that Leading Aircraftman George Waters, who is overseas, has received his wings and been promoted sergeant-naviga-tor. Sergeant Waters is a son of Mr and Mrs W. K. Waters, 151 Kermode Street, Ashburton.
Mr L. J. Walker, who has been manager of the Leeston branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association for the last 10 years, and prior to that was accountant at the Ashburton branch, has been transferred to the Rangiora branch.
Confirmation of the following appointments to the No. 108 Armed Forces Appeal Board is contained in the Gazette: Mr J. Cooke to be a member, and Mr F. E. Stewart to be a deputy-member.
