TEMPORARY STAFF.
CHRISTMAS TRADE IN SHOPS. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The engagement of additional temporary staff for shops for the Christmas holiday period will be permitted by the National Service Department. The term of employment must be temporary' and engagements must terrain-* ate before the' end of January. Employees must be married women not normally available for full-time employment, or schoolgirls under the age of 18 who will be returning to school or commencing at training college or University next year. Applications for permission to employ such workers must be made to the District Manpower Officer in terms of the Restriction of Employment Order.
