THE ALLENTON CLUB. Matches in the first day’s play in the rinks competition for the Robert Barr Memorial Shield, held by the Allenton Bowling Club, resulted as follows (skips’ names only): First Round— Horsburgh beat Templeton, Mathieson beat Thomas, P. Boothroyd heat J. P. Boothroyd, Mactier beat Horrell; Gowans a bye. Second Round —Templeton beat J. Boothroyd, Mactier beat P. Boothroyd. Horrell beat Thomas, M*thieson beat Gowans; Horsburgh a bye. The following will represent the club at Ashburton on Saturday in the first round for the Bullock Pennant. Horrell (s), Douglas, Wilkinson, Corbett; Gowans (s), P.
