•(Rec. 10.45) LONDON, Nov. 14. Since September 18, 171,000 tons of food grains have been sent to Calcutta, says a New Delhi message. Arrangements have been made to send 24 waggon loads of food grains daily from the Punjab to north-eastern Bengal.

Over 200,000 persons in Bengal are being provided with grain free while over 500,000 others are receiving money daily. In addition 225,000 persons are being fed by 6000 free'kitchens. —British Official Wireless.
